Behind the wheel information

We are booking behind the wheel lessons about 2 months out. You can email as soon as your student has a permit. 

The lessons during the school year are weekdays at 8:00, 10:00, 12:00 and 2:00. During the summer lessons are at 7:30, 1:30 and 3:30 

Duluth Denfeld, Duluth East, Esko HS, Harbor City, Hermantown HS, Lakeview Christian Academy, Marshall, Proctor HS, Superior HS, Office - 2306 Mountain Shadow Dr. For summer lessons home pick ups may be an option. 

We are always able to get your lessons done by the time you test if you are emailing right when your student gets a permit. We recommend students have 10-15 hours of experience before their first lesson.

Bookings through email are your confirmation of the lesson. A 48 hour email notice (72 hours for weekend or school break lessons) must be given if you need to cancel a lesson. A $60 cancellation fee ($100 for weekends and school breaks) will be charged if you do not email before this time frame. If you do not cancel and do not show for a lesson, you must pay $100 for that missed lesson before rescheduling.

Lessons are $120 per lesson for students who attended classroom lessons through NDS and $130 per lesson for students who attended classroom elsewhere. 

Payments - IF you paid $290 for classroom you have prepaid ONE behind the wheel lesson. The payment for the remainder of the lessons will be due upon starting behind the wheel lessons. So, at your first lesson, you will owe $240 for the remaining lessons and then you are paid in full.

For information on testing, please visit drive.mn.gov for information and registration. They are backed up for the driving exams and will only book 30 days out for tests. Please plan ahead and check for tests early.
